I can no longer see the Master List in the first post of this thread, so I don't know if it's just faded away completely, but I did want to add that CRIME SCHOOL has a trailer listed, but it's not on there. It is only a clip from the film and not a trailer. This was one of the early titles in...
Thanks for all the updates, everyone. I'm afraid I won't be adding to the OP anymore as I am spending less time on HTF these days for a number of reasons. If anyone wants to take over the Master List and add titles accordingly, please contact a site administrator and I'm sure they will allow you...
Updated.
Surprised about Fox adding trailers to their lackluster MOD program. Some of the older trailers on their pressed releases were international trailers that had no text on them, rendering them pretty much worthless.
DEVIL'S DOORWAY was already on the list, David, but thanks. Also thanks to Matt for TEXAS CARNIVAL.
I added A GUY NAMED JOE and YOUNG IDEAS, both from WA.
First post with the list has been slightly reformatted and cleaned up for easier reading. Now we just need more reports on new titles. Have people stopped buying MODs or are they not including trailers anymore?
Thanks, Bob and Dick!
(Bob, I appreciate the alphabetical order! )
Does anyone have the WA titles HUDDLE, CLEAR ALL WIRES! or THE SPORT PARADE? Trying to determine if these have trailers or not.
As always, thanks to everyone for the updates.
Bob, I'm assuming you mean the 1932 James Cagney CROWD ROARS and not the later Robert Taylor one?
Don't think SKIN DEEP qualifies if it's a newly created trailer specifically for the MOD. Is that what it is?
Added BATTLE CIRCUS.
Updated and added THE CRASH (which features exclusive shot for the trailer footage, something I always enjoy). Also DON'T BET ON BLONDES and TIMES SQUARE PLAYBOY, two from the lackluster Warren William "Signature Collection."
That's too bad about the FOX titles that they can't even include...
That's exactly right, Chuck. I am finding trailers for movies like ONE WAY PASSAGE readily available on YouTube, but for whatever reason it was left off the WA title and that movie runs only 67 minutes. No bitrate concerns there. I honestly don't think it's too much to ask for that one tiny...
Thanks Bob. No sale for me then, my TCM copy will suffice. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to why some of these get trailers and others don't. I find it hard to believe that they don't have the materials for most of the trailers from the early 30's to now as I've seen a bunch of...
Sorry about the delay in updating the list in the OP. I just haven't been online much of late, but am now caught up and have included everything submitted from the last few weeks, for which thanks. I also included the Harlow titles, all of which have trailers.
Anyone know if the trailer...
Has anyone picked up BLACK MOON (1934) from Columbia? I would love to know if it has the trailer on it. It's a very moody, eerie, haunting pre-code, unlike any other movie I've ever seen from that period.
Thanks Bob and Allen. It's been quiet here in this thread for awhile, so these latest additions are most welcome. I wish more buyers of MODs would contribute.
Thanks for the info, Charles. I checked Amazon UK to see if the full length version ever came out on DVD, but no luck. I would love to see the original.
John, how is the quality of the CLOUDBURST DVD? I consider it Robert Preston's best performance and film. I have a good TCM copy, but may have to get this if it's a decent transfer. Can't imagine how they tried to sell this movie in a trailer....
