I am 100% with you on this.
I think a big part is Ritchson gets less screen time, between the roles for all his (old) team and the flashback scenes dedicated to backstory.
I can and have. I think the script was tight. I think it works well. We rewatched both a little while ago. I think all the supporting actors did a great job. The car chase resolution was priceless. As are multiple other scenes, like Cruise and Duvall.

It appears Reacher is a bit too sentimental about someone who took a bullet for him before, but maybe not.
However, episode 5 had 1 galactic level failure which is just piss poor writing. The truck hijack. So get this.
According to an article I just read, even though the premiere is 12/15, on the page for the series it says 12/14 7:00 PM.
A link article also says there is a minor location change from the book, Bad Luck and Trouble, where the initial incident was moved from CA to NY.
Latest Reacher news. Shooting wrapped up last month. Maybe we get S2 this summer.
