    Ken is right, Toshiba HD-A1 re-encodes the decoded TrueHD signal to lossless 24/96 PCM and outputs that via HDMI, so you do get the full resolution. Anyway, to the OP, your best bet is to use the 5.1 Analog Outs or HDMI output. If you use the analog outs and you are getting weak LFE compared...
