CraigF, Yep. It sounds like your DVD burner is incompatible with Nero CD-DVD Speed's Disc Quality scan. If you find yourself in the market for a new DVD burner, I would recommened getting a BenQ, as they reportedly do very well with these type of scans. I have the BenQ DW-1655.
Andrew, I've never received an error like that with Nero CD-DVD Speed, however I may have received an error similar to that with DVDInfo Pro. Anyway, try playing your DVD with your computer's DVD player (Power DVD, Win DVD, etc.) first (i.e. let it start up and then stop the player) and...
CraigF,
Indeed the newest version is called Nero CD-DVD Speed. I think the shortcut it installed to my desktop on my computer at home is called Nero CDSpeed, and that is why I keep referring to it as such. I guess for accuracy's sake, I should start calling it Nero CD-DVD Speed.

Eric, Thanks for clarifying your comments re: Jaws and Scarface. I thought you were referring to some technical problems with those titles I was unaware of. Of course, if you expand our complaints of Universal outside them realm of the technical inadequacies of their DVDs to their content we...
Well, it seems I am not alone in my struggle, not that I thought I was. Anyway, something that I noticed, and I thought I would pass it along to see if anyone else had or had any ideas about it is this: So, as I was browsing the selection of widesreen Casino Aniversary Edition DVDs...
I am having trouble finding an error-free widescreen copy of this movie on DVD. The usual DVD-18 issues, of course. Has anyone any tricks or tips to share in finding a 'good' copy of this DVD? Special markings on the DVD case, etc? This is getting very frustrating...
