The outdoor volleyball match was a tight affair, but Mays-Treanor/Walsh pulled it out at the end of each set for their 2nd gold medal in the event. Congrats!
Plus didn't Valeri Liukin have to deal with ties and losing the gold in a couple of events by mere fractions of a point at the 1988 Olympics? He has a more philosophical outlook on the business of judging in gymnastics, and Nastia probably has similar resignations to the scoring and tie-break...
Hopefully he won't be coaching too many other pole vaulters in the near future. Can't see how you can justify such a-hole-ness after a silver medal performance, unless he's the Great Santini reincarnated.
Bolt's margin of victory in the 100m was ridiculous. Too bad he decided to showboat with 25m to go, he probably could have done a sub 9.60 if he ran hard all the way through the race.

I just happened to flip to NBC and saw 2 sick dismounts by the US on the bar. Considering the US lost the Hamms right before the games, this team performance is just mind-boggling.
Is NBC doing a 30-60 minute daily wrap-up show? I am not going to commit to watch all this Olympic programming, and it's a pain to try to keep up with the events as they spring up during primetime.
