Heaven & Earth is an underrated film that perfectly contrasts Platoon and Born on the Fourth of July in a unique narrative, which disarmingly rounds out Oliver Stone’s Vietnam War trilogy. I felt it to be a highly courageous work, which is worthy of reassessment.

True. Well, not that this will happen, but Shout! should do some inverted variation of a disc replacement program. For $12 extra bucks they mail out to purchasers of the boxed set a special 4K/UHD “inclusion” disc of TheTheatrical. I know…it’ll never happen….but they should offer it, anyway.

I hope that Shout! will supply the completists with a Stand-Alone 4K/UHD of JFK: The Theatrical Cut. Also, I would hope to see Shout! release a 4K/UHD of Heaven & Earth.

I like and agree with your concept of disc design.

The great thing about Oliver Stone’s Director’s Cut is that he was decisive; once done, it was done. Never, over the years, did Mr. Stone keep coming back at us with multiple running times and multiple editions. Once we’re in for a committed 3 plus hours of viewing time, what’s another 17...

I only want a Stand-Alone of the 4K/UHD. Shout! should go the optional route with JFK as was seen with the recent 4K/UHD release of Titanic. Options. Gift-Sets or Stand-Alone, It’s as simple as that. No purchase, until then, or when the boxed item goes on sale. . .
