I enjoyed the episode. I took it as being that Einstein gave Mulder a placebo. With all the talk about God and the power of the human mind, Mulder believed he took mushrooms, so he thought he had hallucinated but actually experienced it. To me, that fits with the show.

That was another good episode. I loved all of the stuff with Scully and her mom dying and Scully thinking about the son she and Mulder gave up, very emotional stuff. The Monster of the week was good too. I liked Scully's line about how back in the day, she used to run up stairs in 3 inch heels.

I agree, the lizard character explained everything to the best of his ability and it fit the logic of the episode. it was a fun, absurdist, comedic episode.

That was a very fun episode and everyone seemed to be in top form this week. I can't think of anything that I didn't like, even Mulder's doubts about the Paranormal was well handled. Enjoyed the nod to Kolchak and the secret passage with Fox looking into Scully's room. I'd watch this one again.

I can understand Mulder having doubts after continuously being lied to but it's out of character for him to completely disbelieve. It was also a big mistake to reveal what happened to his Sister and take away what drove him on his quest. So, seeing him like that again was one of the weak spots...

They are the reason I can sit through that last movie. As long as they don't come across as sleepwalking through the episodes, they should be good. I am looking forward to seeing them again. :)

I'm not going to let the negative reviews stop me from watching, there's only 6 episodes. One bad episode isn't a deal breaker either. At least my expectations are in check and if I hate them all, they won't affect my enjoyment of the original series.

Too bad about Patrick not returning as Doggett, he was one of the best things in the latter seasons. Wasn't a fan of the Reyes character.

If they're going to bring them all back, that better include Krycek! Maybe Mulder and Scully are still under the influence of the fungus from the Field Trip episode from season 6. Maybe everything after that episode never happened :huh:

I agree they made a great looking show once in LA but So Cal can be too bright compared to Vancouver, which affected the atmosphere of the show a bit. Same thing with Twin Peaks in season 2 when didn't film scenes in Washington State. I thought you guys were more like ghosts. I have a relative...

Glad they're going to film in Vancouver again, So Cal didn't provide the same atmosphere that Canada did. I prefer the Monster/stand alone episodes, the mythology/aliens stuff felt convoluted and stretched. If these six episodes turn out good, hopefully they'll lead to more.

I'm both excited and leery, especially after the last movie. I wouldn't mind some closure to the Aliens Mythology but would prefer stand-a-lone stories. I wouldn't mind seeing a Werewolf episode.
