Michael, Thanks for the additional information. Much appreciated. I wonder if that technique was ahead of its time in 1963? Just curious. I too taped the episodes in EP. I have the complete series on (I think) six VHS tapes. Depending on which VCR I use, they play cleanly ... or not. ;)

Gary, Yes, I own this episode. Parts were shown in a flashback episode during the final episode of Season One. There is a wonderful moment with 'trick photography' (or a special effect) when Patty first sees Cathy. I don't have a lot of film knowledge, but the sequence is a very memorable...

I own the entire series on VHS tape. This is one that I'd love to acquire on DVD, though. The sound of the tapes is muffled in many places, and I find myself having to turn up the volume a lot to hear the episodes clearly. Bring it on!
