Hmm, after sifting through all the news, it does look like Paramount has dropped the ball with this set if these unconfirmed specs are true. All this "economic reasons" stuff makes no sense, but I get the feeling they didn't feel like the set would be a big seller if it was a reasonably priced 8...

Paramount never promised uncut versions. All they said was that they were going to try and find the deleted material. I had a feeling whatever they found was going to be in really rough shape. I think it's a little much to ask for seamless branching on scenes that are probably sub-VHS quality.

If these are uncut...or at least the ones they could get proper materials for are uncut, I'm gonna be all over this set. I wonder when Bracke's book is supposed to come out.

I'm too lazy to dig up links and post them, but at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors this past weekend, they had a big Friday the 13th Panel, with many of the actors who played Jason, Betsy Palmer, and others, as well as Peter Bracke, who is still working on his big "Crystal Lake Memories" Friday...
