Dave, I’ve enjoyed reading your comments as you delve into the TNG. Its refreshing to see your take on the episodes. Lonely Among Us is not a favorite episode for me and I’ve only seen it less then a handful of times. I’d forgotten how that episode ended. I’m also enjoying Adam’s revisit to the...

I’ve been watching more themed episodes the last few weeks. I hit upon the idea to watch all the Barclay episodes in a row. That was kind of fun actually as we see him go from Holo addition to a fear of transporters and then being taken over by a computer program to move the Enterprise into...

I’ve been my daily viewings of episodes of Star Trek a day. I’ve been mainly focusing on TNG and seen quite a few on Adam’s list. I just saw Tin Man a few days ago! Many episodes are not ones I regularly watch, so they’ve been fun to revisit. I thought it would be fun to post about what I saw...

A few weeks ago I did watch Q Who. It was interesting as I had not seen it in a while. What I found interesting is that the film First Contact forever changed the trajectory of the Borg. It was refreshing to revisit Q Who as the Borg were a lot more scary and mysterious. They were a soulless and...

Did someone mention Micro Machines? I just dusted my set off. The ultraviolet rays from the sun has seriously caused the clear bases to turn orange and become brittle, so several based broke when I tried to assemble them for this photo. This is a fun set. I remember buying this at Toys R Us. :)

I agree about the comments on The Arsenal of Freedom. I thought this was one of the better first season episodes. I had watched The Maltese Falcon over the weekend, even though I know about the film, especially the Sydney Greenstreet and Peter Lorrie characters, I realized I’d never actually...

Your recent postings of some episodes that I’d call offbeat had me revisit some epsiodes that I do not view too often. I hated The Most Toys when I first saw it. I have gained a new appreciation for it in the past 5 or more years. I think I found Saul Rubinek’s performance very off-putting as...

Hey guys, youtube suggested the video below for me. It’s a video from Germany showing a model of the Paramount studio stages and the standing Star Trek The Next Generation sets! It’s very much like the model that Matt Jeffries made for the TOS sets used by directors to help set up shots. i...

Thanks Jason!. Found a series of images that shows the naiskos in each episode. I guess I'm not the only obsessed one. :) I imagine the naiskos in the scenes in Picard is a reproduction as the original prop might have been lost or sold in auction. Or I could be wrong and its the actual prop.

Sorry guys, this was driving me crazy. I had been sure the Kurlan naiskos was seen during Picard. And I found an image that shows it in his archive at Starfleet(?) it’s been a while since I watched this episode. And I read that it’s since been moved to Château Picard seen in the second season...

Thanks Adam for your continued enthusiasm with your TNG viewing and reviews! I had fun watching Starship Mine last night. Seemed odd to me every time I see this episode that the aliens weapon did not kill Geordi, but does kill Hutchinson. Having watched the earlier episode with Mr Mott, it was...

Thanks Philip for the video of the ending of Genelations. It’s not a film I have re-viewed in a long time. I also found on trekcore a screen cap of the scene too, though it’s dark. Perhaps the writers forgot that the artifact was so valuable.

Agreed Sam! And a great appearance by Salome Jens. Hey Jason, I read on Memory Alpha, the Third Dynasty Kurlan naiskos does appear in the wreckage of Enterprise D after the saucer crashes at the end of Generations. I haven‘t seen it in a long time. For some reason, I’m thinking it’s seen in the...

Interesting, I watched Timescape on Monday as well! It’s interesting to see these later episodes. Stewart seems to be playing Picard slightly differently. He seems to be more open and playful and introspective. And to see a post Captain Jellico version of Troi. I also liked how the story...

Well guys. I seem to watching the same episodes as Adam, I watched Power Play last night and Cause and Effect tonight As I continue with Ro Laren episodes. Power Play is not an episode I revisit too often. It was interesting rewatch because I rememebered at this stage of the series, the support...

I watched Conundrum tonight. It’s not a favorite as it’s a similar plot device of an alien race taking control of the Enterprise crew to make them carry out their nefarious plans, such as The Game which I thought was better. But this episode was still pretty good in how they eventually defeat...

Philip, I misspoke, the title of that episode is Starship Mine. I agree the subplot was great. I’ve always thought Brent Spiner is quite an actor who can perform such scenes with the comedic touch!

I forgot to mention another aspect of Ensign Ro that I thought was great, is the opening scene with Captain Picard getting a haircut from Mr. Mott. That was a hoot! i had not seen that sequence in a long while. He comes back on Die Hard in a starship in the episode Enemy Mine. It pays of well...

I watched Ensign Ro last night for obvious reasons. I had seen it many times, but not seen it in many years and I had not completely recalled the plot, so it was good to re-see it. I enjoy Rascals and The Next Phase as two really good Ro episodes so they have more repeat views. And Disaster is...

Interesting post Adam. I have not seen Yesterday’s Enterprise in a couple of years. For me, its like City on the Edge of Forever and The Inner Light. These are special episodes that stand out from the rest. So I limit how often I watch them to preserve some of the impact. That said, it is an...

Agreed about The Enemy and The Defector! I always like to pair them as they are a two parter for me. Adam, Josh, you bring up two episodes I just don’t watch because they are not as engaging for me. After reading your review of Quality of Life, I had totally forgotten the plot and the poker...

I think I’ve only seen Up The Long Ladder a grand total of 3 times. Twice when it was originally aired then repeated later in the week. At the time, there was no new Star Trek so this was must watch. I think I only watched it once on DVD. I didn’t watch it on the blu ray. Last week, I followed...

I’m avoiding spoilers for Picard, though it might be interesting to know that list of episodes to watch before the premiere of Picard S3. Hey guys, I like The Minds Eye too. It always strikes me as odd that the TNG writing staff had gone down this route that the Romulans conspires with certain Klingons as part of a plan to cause trouble. Often putting the Klingon’s and Humans at odds with each other. Or just instigating plans to...

Interesting insights guys about Time Squared. The next time I am not sure what TNG episode to watch, I may play this. I never considered it was unnerving! I compared it to some of the more ponderous Outer Limits episodes or Space 1999 episodes where the science wasn’t working for me. I had read...
