Who can figure what's BOD and what isn't? Logan's Run? A bad, half season show from 35 years ago with a little run on TNT. And that gets a general release and Courtship of Eddie's Father and The FBI don't? But SciFi sells, even crappy SciFi.
I don't think its an issue but if its something that you're really concerned about, just burn yourself backup copies. Not a big deal and certainly not anything to be that worried about.
You guys realize that BOD titles sell far fewer copies than broad releases do, right? And you also know that the costs involved in remastering and clearances are exactly the same as for a general release. So, do the math. If a general release of a marginally marketable title might sell 5 or 10...
All of this started when they dropped the prices on VCRs below $1000 and blank tapes below $20. Never heard any of this whinging before that! :D That must be how people in the early 50s felt when the prices on television sets came down. There went all of the quality live anthology series and in...
I agree. I mean, I buy all of the cartoons from my youth, like Dick Tracy, Courageous Cat, Tennessee Tuxedo, etc., but I don't actually sit down and watch hours of them. I like to have them there to maybe show guests who might come over but as a grown man I'm not sitting down and watching hour...
By the way, to throw another possible curve into the mix, I'm hearing rumors that CBS is considering possibly getting into the BOD game with some of their stalled and unreleased shows. May be the only way that we get some of those under performing titles finished, if it comes about.
They've mentioned a lot of things on their facebook page but they are slow to release shows. And with many multiple-season shows, like The FBI and Medical Center, it could take many years for them to get the full runs out. I just think that 95% of their focus is on movies, 4% on kids cartoons...

No thanks to old shows on DVDR? Okay, but you won't get them otherwise. There are quite a few Warner shows that are not available in any format nor have they ever been. Shows like Conflict and The Alaskans haven't aired anywhere on earth in 50 years and are not available...
Wow, Conflict? That's great that they even know they have it. I'd also like to see the other 3 series that originally rotated with Cheyenne - King's Row, Casablanca and Warner Brothers Presents. Wouldn't that be something. By the way, is there a link to the article?
