No specific date, but I just pre-ordered season 2 on bd at a decent price.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022) - Season 2

It was so heavyhanded I didn't get it. The trouble with doing something like that in a sf show is that more times than not, it means an alien presence has invaded the hardware. That's what I thought. Thanks for the clarity. If they showed the bed was malfunctioning before, I missed it. That's...

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022) - Season 2

This was delightful. Paramount Plus made it even better by making it an early surprise. I think the Lower Decks writers are the most Trek-literate writers working on the franchise. And it carried over. Probably the most imaginative crossover I have ever seen. Can't wait to watch it again.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022) - Season 2

I enjoyed it. I love the show. But this episode kinda destroyed arguably the most beautiful line in TOS. It comes at the end of This Side of Paradise when Kirk tells Spock he hasn't heard much from him about Omicron Ceti III. Spock replies, "I have very little say about it, captain. Except for...

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022) - Season 2

I like this show. I liked the episode. But the title of the series is Strange New Worlds. I've had enough of the Gorn. I've had enough of . It's the same problem that plagues the Star Wars franchise. No one wants to move it forward. Everything is a prequel that looks back to fan favorites. Put...

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022) - Season 2

As much as I enjoyed episode 3, I'm really Jonesing for the Enterprise to visit a Strange New World with Captain Pike in command of the episode.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022) - Season 2

What seems like a lifetime ago, I read a fine Star Trek novel by the late great D.C. Fontana entitled Vulcan's Glory and, in that book, Number one is an Illyrian. :)

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022) - Season 2

In no particular order, here are my top twenty all-time favorite Star Trek episodes. I am not saying they are the best. I am saying they are the twenty I rewatch the most. Strange New World's Ad Astra per Aspera is the first new entry on my list in more than two decades. I have already watched...

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022) - Season 2

Episode two of the second season of SNW is not only the best episode of the series as yet (which is saying something for only 12 episodes), I'll go so far, after only two viewings, of saying that “Ad Astra Per Aspera” is one of the best Star Trek episodes I've ever seen. I don't want to spoil...

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022) - Season 2

Yes, and not only Kirk, but Spock would never forget the Gorn after that emotional block experience, so it seems things already don't jibe with TOS. Spock doesn't seem to have a clue who the Gorn are in Arena. I just don't get it. I don't see how this is being credible to the Spock character...

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022) - Season 2

I was hoping that would be it for this species as a threat. Given what happened in season one, it already strains credulity that Kirk didn't know who the Gorn were only a few years later, especially since he is in the same starship with the same memory banks. I wish someone would use some...

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022) - Season 2

The season two opener was so much fun--already knowing these characters and jumping straight into the adventure. No spoilers but this show hasn't lost a beat from season one and maybe has gained a few beats. My apprehension about Carol Kane not fitting in has been summarily put to rest. Can't...
