That rebuttal would have a lot more meaning if they could show higher attendance figures for one of their own films instead of one that Pixar made. Jobs' statement was directed directed specifically at the animation studio portion of the business. Disney's generic brag is no rebuttal.
I think Marvel is going to oversaturate, and pay for it. The success of Spider-Man and X-Men will not be repeated for all of their franchises, and even those two can be milked dry if not approached correctly.
