MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

These retailer exclusives have been so badly handled. I never thought I would say this, but Wal-Mart has been the only store to get this thing right. Wal-Mart even has a display box for them. As for the other two stores, the first day they were supposed to be out, I did find The Living...

MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

It looks like the individual Bond blu-ray exclusives for Best Buy and Target are actually reversed than what was previously reported. I just back from Target and bought their three exclusives....A View To A Kill, The Living Daylights, and Tomorrow Never Dies. Funny thing is that TLD and TND...

MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

Walmart is definitely 10/2. If you go on their website, the release dates show as 10/2. Very strange that Best Buy would wait until the 23rd, though. I sent an e-mail to Bill at The Bits. Hopefully, one of his contacts can get an official word.

MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

I didn't mean to talk bad about Bill, was just making a joke. I love Bill and The Bits, and have no doubt that he had an official word. Most big retail stores like Best Buy, Walmart and Target just don't have a clue. So many people talk about how we need to shop 'in-store', and how bad it...

MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

I don't see any of the Bond blu-ray reissues on the Target or Best Buy websites. Do you think it's an in store only type of thing, or is Bill Hunt at The Digital Bits full of it?

Octopussy titles aren't window boxed, and it's 2:35:1 I believe. Greatly underated Bond flick, and my starting point with this set.

MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

It doesn't look like Target or Best Buy has any of the Bond blu-ray's for pre-order, their exclusive three or the other previously available ones. So, we'll just have to buy them in the store 10/2 or order online when they pop up that day.

MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

Glad I could be of service, Jason_V. Oddly enough, by the time I got off of work and drove down there, the display was gone. I asked the clerk "where are the Bond blu-ray's that were out earlier today?" He said that some lady had told them that they were not supposed to be out yet, and that...

MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

My wife just called me at work from our local Walmart Supercenter. She said they've put out all the individual Bond blu-rays on the shelf. She said she told the person putting them out that they weren't supposed to be out until 10/2. The clerk said "let me check" and then scanned Dr. No at...

MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

The Rocky III blu-ray has the original turning UA logo with the somber piano beginning and the big orchestra at the end, just like when I saw it in the theatre. That's MGM as well. Wonder why Rocky can have the old one but Bond can't?

MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

I know that a couple of people in this thread have said that the menus are the same as the previous blu-rays, but I was wondering if anyone who has received the set and watched a disc or two already can verify if the menu with the girls walking around on metal discs are the same, even on the new...

MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

My memory might be flawed, but I recall that Connery was mad about the compensation that he received (or didn't receive) from his time as Bond. I don't think that he has contempt for the Bond movies, per se, but more of a contempt for Broccoli not paying him more when the franchise was making...

MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

I find that there are things to like and dislike in each Bond film, some more so than others of course (looking at you 'Die Another Day'). I'm curious about whether we're going to get a re-release of 'Never Say Never Again'? It went out of print at the same time as the other Bond films, but...

MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

I couldn't agree more. The Bondathon is coming! Bring on the invisible car! Bring on the hidden volcano lair! Bring on Drax attempting in space the exact same thing that Stromberg attempted in water just one movie prior! Bring on Bond making the tiger "sit"! Bring on "Cai, Cai, Cairo"...

MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

I'm curious to know if the Blu-Ray menus will be the same, or if they'll be re-done for these discs. The naked women on floating Magneto-made iron steps irritates me. I would like each menu to have more in common with whichever movie it's in front of, rather than rotating movie-clips and a...

....or Never Say Never Again? I know I'm probably in the minority here, but there is as much to like about that film as there is to hate.

So, to bring everything up to date: #1 - Available at Foxconnect on 10/2 (I don't see them for pre-order at Amazon or anywhere else) for $12.99 each are the individual Blu-Rays for Dr. No, FRWL, Goldfinger, Thunderball, LALD, TMWTGG, Moonraker, FYEO, Licence To Kill, TWINE, and Die Another...

MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

I just meant that it would be good if we could have all the remaining titles available individually on 10/2. I agree, store exclusives are not good. I just want to know when and where the last six will be available. It seems like someone should be able to provide that information instead of...

MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

Release date is 10-02-2012, same as the Wal-Mart exclusive 3 titles. For the missing 9, wouldn't it be cool if Wal-Mart had the 3 they have, Best Buy had 3, and then Target had the last 3 all for 10/2? Then, all Bond Blu's would be individually for sale all on 10/2. So, all but 6 are...

MGM Press Release: BOND 50 (Blu-ray)

I think Mi6 has their info a little off. Fox is re-issuing the individual titles, and they are available for pre-order on Fox Connect. Fox Connect is not the label, it's their website to purchase things Fox makes. Here is the link...
