Heya, fellas. Haven't been in this thread for quite some time. While I'm not the biggest TPM fan in the world, I think it would be good to discuss it in depth. It would force me to watch it again :)
Mike,
I wasn't talking to you when I said tearing down the OT. I was just making a general statment. And I agree with most of what you are saying, hell...I'm top poster in this thread. I'm a SW fanboy, and not ashamed to admit it.
I respect and admire Georgie boy, especially for putting...
I noticed a few differences too, Tim. You're definitely correct in regards to the Imperial March at the end of the movie.
Ah...feels good to be posting in the Star Wars thread again ;)
I can say this, at least I wasn't there. I had tickets, but decided not to go. I went to the last 2 Purdue/ND game at ND Stadium (I'm from South Bend)...and both were so heart breaking that I have a hard time going back.
...that, and all ND fans are arrogant a-holes.
...okay, well maybe not...
Group hug guys...I'll agree to disagree too ;)
Tim,
The game killed me...it was a battle of who wanted to lose more, and I guess we did. Three turnovers converted into touchdowns is unacceptable...but oh well, life goes on.
Congrats, Tim. Episode 1 is still the only movie that I've ever seen 10 times...with FOTR and E2 coming in second at 7 viewings. How much money did you spend in all?
As I said before...."personal, intensely emotional...etc" gives Lucas the potential of making a great film, if he does it right. In general fans of AOTC (me definitely included) still thought most of the dialog was clunky...and emotional moments can seem anti-climatic when the dialog sucks...
That's called the "insane" demographic ;)
I'd be seeing it right along with you if I lived anywhere near a DLP theater, Tim.
Meanwhile...I was thinking about the film yesterday, and while I believe I brought this up in this thread before, I don't know if anyone responded...
Have you ever...
