I have no idea whether or not forcing consumers to spend more on an overpriced box of junk just to get the movie generates more revenue than what is presumably lost by a lower volume of units sold. Maybe it's a good business decision...

It's great that it is available to those who want it; the problem is there are few options for those who don't.
So do I. I ordered it and the price came to 13.73 GBP (w/o the VAT) + 3.08 GBP for "postage and packing" for a total cost of 16.81 GBP, which dollars2pounds.com converted to $27.45.
I came up with $27.45. They subtract the VAT when you order from overseas.
