Were the sketches choosen online? Before the digital short, they mentioned something about "the fans favorite" - I wonder if all the sketches were chosen by the fans? That would explain why there were so many bad sketches.
Hmmmm, the best of '06 - '07? I'm surprised this show was more than 2 minutes long! :D ^^ Now that's funnier than anything I've seen pn SNL in a LONG time. ;)
It was something about breasts being crammed into a tight shirt so that her cleavage balloons up and out.....oh wait....wasn't there singing or something???
The thing about the Sofa King is, it's such an old joke. Obviously they probably couldn't do it in the past, but it didn't seem so 'ground breaking' as far as humor went since it was such an old joke.
You never played this joke on anyone?? Write this down and tell them to read it aloud: I...
Yeah, pretty bad IMHO....oh wait, I mean it was Sofa King Bad!!! ;) Although I did get a kick out of the gay guys from CT.* :D * I was laughing at the way they made fun of the wealthy people in CT, not gays.
but none of the skits are funny anymore ;) The show was another dud last night. Nothing really funny. Oh, and is Lily Allen pregnant? Or was that just the worst choice of dresses to wear??
Jon, even though I don't watch American Idol, I thought it was kind of funny. I thought the whole point of the sketch was making fun of how American idol has gone from a real competition to just "trash". No longer are they focusing on the talent...they are more interested in the crappy auditions...
Yeah, the dancing meatball skit was funny. The Stock footage awards were good too, but ENOUGH OF THE DAMN POLITICAL SKETCHES!!! I'm sick of the president sketches. They're just not funny!!!!
Kinda like how you can only say "Jesus Christ" if you are actually referring to him. But I guess the rules have got to cut off at some point... It's the old "Last row of the expensive seats" phenomenon: You are in the 20th row, and you paid just as much money as the people in the front...
You can buy the entire episode: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/M...94602&s=143441 EDIT: Apparently a lot of the SNL shows aren't full episodes, but it does list the Digital Short in the description, so I assume it's included in the download.
Oh man! I thought the same thing too...especially considering the two sketches were on within about 15 minutes of each other. Maybe it's because I saw MadTV's first, but I thought their version was better.
The first time I saw her on SNL, she was playing that character. I was so confused as to why I never saw her in any other skits. I had no idea her hair was fake. It definitely makes her look hotter. I think the wig balances her facial proportions better than her real hair. LOL - it's funny...
I was going to comment on that too. The political humor just isn't like it used to be. I have two thoughts... 1) The humor just isn't funny anymore (because of the shows decline) and the problem with political humor is, when it's not funny, it's just tiresome and mean. or 2) The world...
Very bad! The only reason I'm still watching is because there's nothing else really on at that time, but I think I need to stop watching. Last night didn't even have one redeeming sketch. Just lousy all around. I don't even think I smilled, let alone laughed. :frowning:
No offense guys but SNL just gets worse and worse all the time. This last Sat was horrid!!! :frowning: The characters are tiresome and boring. Nothing really original anymore. I REALLY miss Will Ferell. And put me in the camp that doesn't care for Dane Cook. I mean, I like his comedy, and his...
