Roughly, how many episodes here have been missing from tv over say the last 20 years?
I know some have long been lost, but are there any others that were syndicated in earlier years but haven't been included in modern syndication packages for this program?
I haven't started watching mine yet...
I'm a bit to the Northwest of there, in St. Lawrence County. The store that's closing is in the St. Lawrence Centre Mall in Massena NY, a few miles away from me.
Of course, the declining economic base in that community is probably as much a factor as anything. They've lost one of two Alcoa...
While I feel for the employees, the local news reported today that my local FYE store was closing in January.
I read that not long after replying to you earlier this evening. I can't say as I'm surprised or feel sorry for them when they treat customers the way that they've shown they do.
What's happening with Paypal and your claim? Sounds like others have had success with that avenue when FYE failed to properly react.
And my Amazon order is in Buffalo and is on track to be here tomorrow. :)
No change on my shipping estimate.
Shipping estimate: Monday, December 22, 2014 - Monday, January 5, 2015
Delivery estimate: Tuesday, December 23, 2014 - Thursday, January 8, 2015 by 8:00pm
Edit: Mine has now switched too...
Shipping estimate: Wednesday, December 10, 2014 - Thursday, December...
Too bad that it hadn't at least been a good movie like 'The Bishop's Wife' on Blu-Ray, instead of something that sounds like its only value is in giving its case up to replace a damaged one for a different disc.
With their reputation of high retail prices, I'd of been surprised if they followed through. They don't seem very customer-centric, one reason why they've struggled to adapt in the face of online retailing and the unfortunate decline of physical media.
I tried contacting Shout a while back to see if they'd comment on why they seem so slow in providing product to Amazon Canada so that they could fulfill their orders, but went ignored.
I wasn't expecting a response, but it continues my record of never having any luck when contacting them...
Yeah, I missed that and caught it seconds after posting. :(
Was editing my post and searching back in this thread to see what the earlier shipping range was for me last time around, when you replied.
Hope this doesn't miss Christmas.
Since the old, expired shipping date disappeared after my inquiry, a new shipping estimate has finally appeared on my Amazon order. It's now slated to ship on December 22nd, with a delivery date of December 23rd.
Edit: Make that December 23rd through January 8th, 2015.
That's "Priority...
If you have a FYE store nearby, I'd first try to just return it there to minimize the hassle. Or at least call them up first to see if online returns are accepted before wasting a trip.
I wasn't dreaming, my shipping cost is actually gone after placing an inquiry yesterday. That's why my total dropped.
Here's what they sent me, if anyone's interested. Sounds like they're following through.
Hello from Amazon.ca.I’m sorry for the delay in completing your order. We certainly...
Delivery estimate at Amazon has changed to...
"DELIVERY ESTIMATE: WE NEED A LITTLE MORE TIME TO PROVIDE YOU WITH A GOOD ESTIMATE. WE'LL NOTIFY YOU VIA E-MAIL AS SOON AS WE HAVE AN ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATE."
Also, my price is showing as $30.38 CDN for two sets. I could've swore it was more like...
Maybe I'll keep Amazon as a backup.
I still have a local FYE store, so I assume I can return online orders there if I wish. I want two sets and have no need for four copies if both happen to come through.
And I don't want the hassle of flipping them, or sending anything back to Amazon.
Still the same status information showing today. Estimated ship date was yesterday but no action as of yet has taken place with my order. At least it hasn't been cancelled.
I'm used to not expecting much when something seems to be too good to be true, so I guess I'll be a bit skeptical until...
That shipping ETA is automated.
The product was set for release on November 4th and the system responded accordingly along with an arrival estimate based on the selected shipping option (In my case, it's estimating an arrival sometime between November 17th and the 27th because I went with the...
I don't pay much attention to details like this since I'm used to just expecting what I ordered to actually be delivered. Is it common for Amazon to miss their estimated ship date on a new release (Which appears likely to be the case today)?
Especially one that appears to already have arrived...
Mine hasn't shipped yet, but the site switched at midnight to predicting it would ship today (its release day). And a generic ETA of November 17-November 27th is listed. Just their automated system doing its job now that release day has arrived, I guess. I see no action yet with my particular...
I suspect some of these companies rely on checking Amazon to get advance notices of products and gauge their own preliminary details off what they're doing, which is how this mistake spread elsewhere.
Hopefully Amazon follows through. It would be pretty shady to wait until the last minute to...
That Facebook link you posted has an interesting post on it that caught my eye.
"CBS claim they no longer hold the 35mm original films and that they could only supply the existing footage from their archives which MediumRare had to clean up massively hence the delays in release dates...as to...
