Good points, John Ross. I guess some people can't fathom that alot of us are on fixed incomes and can't afford to rebuy our movie collections AS WELL AS new equipment to play them on. I'll continue to buy SD DVDs (and enjoy them) for a good while.

That poll is incomplete. I do not plan on upgrading to HD anytime soon, unless I suddenly get rich, which probably won't happen. I finally have a nice DVD collection and like an overwhelming percentage of consumers, do not plan on spending money to start a new collection. I'd add a "not...
