The same thing just happened to me. I just paged thru the forum to find it. I just bought the Melita 10 cup pour over. I made a 5 cup batch yesterday. Any suggestions on the proper use of it? I bought it as a backup for our Technivorm. If it goes out, we’ll have something till it’s replaced.

I checked out Tectonic’s site and discovered they are very pricey. And that’s before shipping, of which, there is no mention.

So I’ve continued to think about vacuum sealing beans. Don’t beans need to vent gasses? How would vacuum sealing effect this?

How do you like it?

Is it ok to store beans in a vacuum bag? With got one of those vacuum sealers and we buy (via mail) 4-5 bags at a time.

I first found it in Whole Foods, but French truck has many more coffees than the 4 or 5 that WF carries. Wonderful coffee.

If you haven’t had the French Truck, I highly recommend it. As my wife said this morning, it’s the best coffee she’s (and me) ever tasted.

My Breville’s manual asks for white vinegar. Fill the reservoir with 4 cups of vinegar and 8 of water. By cups I mean whatever a cup is on my machine. It has a descaling process that takes about 25’. We’ll be using our Technivorm daily.
