When I see HTs like this, I'm reminded why I've dubbed mine "The Ugly Dome". It is designed 100% for performance, and 0% presentation. Mainly for budgetary reasons.
You have to admit, that old sub holds its own remarkably well. At least mine does. I cringe at the thought of how expensive it will be to replace it with something substantially better.

Thiels were always impeccably finished. Real hardwood veneers, with the grain structure being mirror images. These are called Amberwood, which looks like Rosewood. They're also finished on all sides. The connections are on the bottom of the speaker.
