Woo, Ted: I definitely agree that Sapporo Ichiban and Shin Ramen are far superior to Top Ramen. Luckily I can get them here pretty inexpensively (~60-75 cents/each) at the local Uwajimaya stores. I haven't had green tea mochi ice cream yet, but I've had the strawberry and red bean flavors...

Rob: Calpis is great! 'Course a bubble tea is better, but I have to go out to get one. Pocky, and Pocky-like snacks are good, too. Mochi ice cream is another fave. Most of the salty stuff my wife likes I can't have, though :frowning:. John.

Michael: I thoroughly enjoyed Silent Moebius. Not an 'A' level series, but definitely a strong 'B'. Kong: I'd love to buy more disks, but since I've been out of work since early November, money's a little tight. I will definitely be picking up GTO vol. 8 in May, though. John.

Hey All: I finished watching GTO volume 7, and Inu Yasha volume 1. GTO had four great episodes. Inu Yasha looked gorgeous. I definitely can't wait for the next GTO disk, and to pick up some more Inu Yasha. John.

Michael: Considering that the series is still going in Japan, and the large number of disks that will be needed for the series, it's unlikely that Viz will be putting out box sets any time soon, although they may decide to do it after each season. Do As Infinity is my favorite Japanese band...

Tony-B: Both series are good, but IMHO, Escaflowne is an A, while Evangelion is a solid B. Both are worth getting. As for the movies, the Escaflowne movie was much better than either Death & Rebirth or End of Evangelion. John.

James: GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka) is what you're looking for. Very funny, and very different from the usual Sci-fi/Ninja anime series. Very highly recommended. John.
