Well, I guess I couldn't wait until tomorrow :). I picked up Someday's Dreamers vols. 2-3 while trying to get Unreal Tournament 2004 (it's not out until tomorrow :frowning:). These two disks put me at 13 series completed this year, the same as in all of 2002 :). John.

Christopher: Yeah, I understand that, but then why leave the Japanese text in, in the first place? While I could understand for a 'normal' novel, the number of people who are familiar enough with Japanese who read manga is much higher than in the general population. John.

Speaking of manga, I noticed a couple of things last night while reading GTO v.17. First, Miyabi's age is given as 16, while the Japanese text clearly states it is 14. Second, she is described as a high school student in the English text, while the Japanese clearly describes her as a middle...

Tony: Well, Chris does explicitly state that the reviews are his own opinions. All reviews are inherently biased, so there really isn't any way to be more 'objective'. On the subject of anime girls, while I'm a confirmed fan of fanservice, I agree that real women will always be better :)...

Rob, Alanna: I'd have to agree that FUNimation did a very good job on Kiddy Grade. Story quality aside, technically, at least on my TV, it was flawless (YMMV). All: This weekend turned out to be a bit of a headache. We did lots of moving, and I was actually able to watch some DVDs, too...
