My Definitive set was (and still is) among the early problem-prone sets. I may have already mentioned this some 20 pages back, but at the time I got the set I did not ever find out that there was a bad pressing problem or that there was a way to get replacements back then - no internet for me...

The "Faces" set was the same transfer. But, each movie was available/sold individually.

I say again, if Lucas was really after the money, the original version would have been released on DVD long ago with the SEs as a separate release and we would have seen several releases of each by now on DVD alone. I still think it's plainly obvious that money is not the motivating factor here.

I have all 4x3 TVs in my house. I prefer anamorphic DVDs if only to be prepared for when I do get a 16x9 set. And, beyond that, anamorphic DVDs do better on computer screens no matter what the ratio of the monitor is.
