Actually, Kate was re-released on LD in 1998, late in that format's game, in its OAR. That's why I was shocked that just a few years later WHV reverted to Academy ratio when they released the dvd.

I believe on the SD DVD of TE you have a choice of either version, one with all correct aspect ratios and the original theatrical release version with the blow-ups. I always opted for the former that had the correct aspect ratios.
