I guess no one cares about corporate honesty & forthrightness. WB can take until 2020 to get Kong as perfect as it can get. All I can do is dole out my $$$ when it is eventually released.
I don't know about anybody else, but honesty about the reason for the delay would stop any speculating in my mind about what is going on at WB. Something like "Ladies & Gentlemen such and such is the reason King Kong is delayed. We appreciate your patience as we wish to supply you with the best...
If WB was simply frank with the public about the "actual" reason for the delay, then I think everybody would find that as acceptable and continue to wait for a product that should be excellent. But perhaps that is too much to expect from the studios these days.
