When you guys figure out the studio's release schedules, let me know  A 4-yr wait for Barney Miller S2? Man, think about what that would do here with the Fugitive (we won't go there :alien: ) But what matters is seeing that TSoD post this morning. If Bob wasn't so fast at the PC...
Gary, Glad you're at the "top" of that "bug" out there :) As a 1st time viewer of this one, I was also wondering about the S1 V2 time-fame. I'd also expect to hear something about this one soon but there's no telling about these guy's schedules. After that (as yet unofficial) "Barney...
Gary & Mike, You guy's posts reminded me to ask this question about the seriies: Does the "William Conrad" narration continue through the entire series? I like it ok but not too much of it. I like the opening and end part but I don't think I'd prefer too much narration in this series. I...
Dave, all, that post was meant as a joke in fun and I apologize for posting that in this forum. Some here know me and knew it was in fun but after thought, those who don't know me via PM, e-mail, phone, may have taken offense and for that I sincerely apologize. That won't occur here again from...
Let's see....I think I'll watch a couple of the Fugitive eps this weekend....I need to check with the "boss".....wait! I'm not married   Sorry, Dave, Harry, Mike....I just couldn't pass that up :D "Smoke Screen" is next in the set for me, probably on Sat.
Harry, Well, that's the way it goes :) I watched it with my Mom who had never seen this show but knew that Dad was a Fuge Fanatic in its original airings. She loved the 2-pt'er. I had to tell her a couple of times that "there's an even better format out there (HD) than these xfrs". She is...
Bob, thanks again for the "Decoy" tip. It's in the "cart" waiting for a couple of other sets. Well, I just finished watching "Never Wave Goodbye" Pt 2 for the 2nd time with a first-time viewer (Mom). She was on the edge of the chair with this one. Now she knows why Dad never missed this show...
Bob, cool! "Small World" Dept. I'll be at her Holiday Inn in Burbank in a few weeks. There's some great pictures of Bev at her hotel. I remember her from the "My Three Sons" role among others. I didn't see her last year when I was out there, but if she drops in at her hotel as she occasionally...
Hank, that's the way to describe this one.... Next up for me this weekend is "Smoke Screen". Vets, don't put too many "spoilers" in here since there's a (very) few on the planet that are viewing this one for the first time - Jeff "I'd have to rank this one in my top 5 shows all-time"...
Well, there's another Fugitive "convert" :) After my weekly DVD-viewing with my Mom, I had brought along the Fugitive S1 V1 set and asked Mom if she'd be interested in trying out this series. She knew of the show, since Dad was an original "Fuge Fanatic", but neither of us had seen this show...
Mike, That's about how I'd rank the one's I've seen so far as well. To the Fugitive Fans, here's a mini poll that I was curious about. If you all want, it might be interesting to see the results of a question that I've been wondering about since I started watching this series on DVD. Add...
Great minds? Where? Not in my mirror  Mike qualifies, but I've watched too many 60's TV/DVD sets....the grey matter's gone  Kiidding aside, thanks for the Fugitive info. So far, after stopping after "Decision in the Ring" episode, my #1 is the 2-pt "Never Wave Good-Bye". That...
Mike, I had the same exact thought about the next one[s] on the series. I doubt I'll be able to watch Pt 1 of "Never Wave Goodbye" and wait another weekend for Pt 2. Also, agree on R66. That will help us out here with the "Symptoms" "Take 1 episode of R66 and call me in the morning"...
Paul, You said it about the release timetables for these sets. That's what makes the TV/DVD collecting somewhat difficult to exercise patience, at least for me. In my "perfect world" :), we'd see releases for, say, a 5-year or less series in a complete set with single-season sets as an...
 link, Bob. I see that the producer of S1-3 of the Fugitive, Alan A. Armer, also produced another QM show "The Invaders". I liked this quote from the link page (regarding the Fugitive): "The atmospheric black-and-white, which had so complemented the mood of the show, gave way to the...
I have yet to understand the unpredictable release sch with the major studios for TV/DVD sets. There are some series that are almost predictable and some that are "fast-tracked", as we refer to here. Some others are years apart between seasons, and some are presumed to be extinct. It's what...
Harry, thanks for that Wallpaper. :emoji_thumbsup: Here's the link to that Paul Mavis review at DVDTALK. http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=29791 Just finished reading the review....man, that's a first-class review. Paul has provided summaries for each episode in the set with...
Gary, how much was the set at Walmart? I was curious how it stacked up vs DDD's price of $27.19 . Couldn't sleep? That's what you guys have done to me with this thread....nightmares about that one-armed man   Jeff " I don't have this one in the mail yet; waiting to combine...
Harry, I didn't realize that you were a comedian as well as a classic TV/DVD fan  Watch out for a possible intercept of the pkg from a one-armed man Jeff "You guys have me so pumped up for this release that I'm expecting the One-armed man to materialize once the pkg is opened" W
Gary, Bert... this is downright  scary how much we are sync'ed about this B/W Color thing. I agree on those exact 2 examples, Hazel, and My 3 Sons. I know that I see it that way with my "holy grail" Combat! since the last season was the only color season. Same opinion on that series as...
Colin, Thanks for the review link. This is the part that I liked best: "The Fugitive is good fun. It’s frustrating to only have one half of the show’s first season available on DVD so far – what’s with this vol. 1 and vol. 2 business? But when the material is this good, it’s hard to hold...
Guys, thanks for all of the  info about this show. Since It'll be a blind buy for me, I'm really looking forward to this release. Harry, I owe you one for that "spoiler" :) I don't want to know any of the big surprises about the series. I agree about the Barbara Rush point. That will...
There may be a few exceptions ("modern" era vs 50's-60's era) but IMO, they're few and far-between. I can't vote (yet) on the Fugitive being considered the best show but I can say that I'm counting down the days till "Dr Kimble" starts running The gang here has me more than ready for this one...
Travis, the only thing that would prevent me from getting this one would be edited episodes. My definition of "edited" is always missing scenes/footage. Time-Compression and music issues don't prevent me from buying a set, especially this one.
Colin, Thanks for the early info on this set. Can't wait for it! I wonder what music clearance issues could have been associated with this series? As long as the eps (scenes) are uncut, the rest doesn't bother me. Harry_N, thanks for the post on the series. Well-written as always :)
I'm one of them Harry :D But thanks to you, Bob H, Gary O, Mike_KS, and the "gang" at HTF I'm looking forward to this blind-buy. The only memories of this one are dim ones from Dad watching this show. He was a fanatic fan of this one in it's original airing days.
Mike, Bob nailed it with his post. Brownstein's the best for TV/DVD sets. Bob, great post #99. I agree. I don't like the split-season releases either. Big Valley is one of my "Holy Grail's" though....makes this hobby a patience-tester, for sure. As for the Fugitive, you guy's posts are making...
You guys are getting me pumped up for this one :) I'll definitely give this one a shot, Gary. It's almost a blind-buy since the memories are faint when Dad watched this one in its original airing. Jeff "Countdown to 08/14 begins and also pulling for LITB S3 for Gary O" W.
Thanks Bob for the reply to Ollie. I was :) born before this one aired, but it will almost be a blind-buy for me since the memories are faint when my Dad was watching this series. I'm looking forward to this on DVD after following this thread at HTF. Interesting article at the Museum link...
