Oh ok, well that kinda ruins it for me in terms of the Blade character. He is a pussy compared to the Snipes version. They should have just said it was in a parallel universe or prior to the movies and let Blade grow from there.

I read something about it saying they will get to deal a lot more with his origins and what made him 'blade'. So I would think before the films timeline, but most likely in their own universe as well. Kinda like Smallville.
