Still odd - I know when I opened the Apple Savings I didn't have to do anything different - it just knew my Credit Union account was connected. I've transferred to and from since it was available with no issue. Very bizarre.
I know that my joint account at my credit union is connected to my Apple Card for payments, but I may have done that before I added my wife to my credit union accounts.
Does seem like a VERY odd limitation that you can't make payments if the account is joint.
