The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)

Some recent comments from Viggo: Weekend Movie News Wrap Up: September 21, 2008 - Screen Rant "Viggo had this to say to MTV: “I haven’t heard anything. Ian is very proactive. He’s been banging that drum!. It was a very important project to all of us and especially to him I think. He wants to...

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)

Well said. I actually hope, that he WILL "play around" (in a good way, of course) with the "Hobbit sequel". I want HUGE fantasy ride. Btw. Del Toro seems to be quite busy in the coming years ("booked" thru 2017!?)... Guillermo Del Toro booked thru 2017 - Entertainment News, Film News, Media...

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)

For me "The Fellowship Of The Ring" is probably (well, hard to pick..) still my favourite one of the trilogy, and one reason for that is the first part of the film in the Shire (you know, warm, relaxed, beautiful..). So I feel that PJ balanced both parts (light vs dark) rather well.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)

I understand this. But what I don´t understand is, that he completely ignores the well-known "facts" about the filmed "trilogy"; They´re damn good and everything. And in the end, quite faithful to the story and the spirit of the books, I believe. So it´s not that "The Hobbit" is now in the hands...

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)

So what´s the main problem with C. Tolkien? Money? I mean, PJ delivered great trio of films.. Where´s the beef? The books have already touched millions of people. Now the films touched most of those people AND some millions more.. I don´t see what´s the problem here..

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)

James McAvoy probably would be a good choice. Excellent actor and "rising star". Then again, he already played "Mr. Tumnus", so perhaps "Hobbit" is too close for that or something... You know, fantasy and all that. ;)
