Believe me, Dave, your not alone, I was severely disappointed by season 3.
The first two seasons were monumentally intelligent, intriguing, mysterious, sexy and they both built to an almost fever pitch because the mystery kept building and building until it all came out in their...
It's not about loving or hating the CW, i've accepted that VM was coming to an end, but I guess I take the opposite view on things, Jason, this show had years of potential left in it and then they finally make things compelling just as it's ending.
Last night left a bad taste in my mouth, get...
Jason, I usually listen to your wisdom about shows and take your comments to heart but I cannot this time, VM was shortchanged, there's no way around it, it left things hanging in space that can't be explained away with inevitability or imagination...they put things out there that we need to SEE...
It was?
I thought it ended on a terrible note, just as I suspected it would. That storyline in the last episode was getting damn interesting, darn near old school Veronica and then...POOF, no more Veronica Mars.
What a gyp.
In the best case scenario the last two eps could have been...
Let's say that's true, there's no time to do anything meaningful with that at all.
This, unlike Gilmore Girls will not have a satisfying conclusion, it just can't when we're dealing with a character that is oozing with story possibilities and just stopping as abruptly as it's going to.
I can't tell you how much it sickens me that shows suffer simply because of their names, and often times the title of a show scares people into completely ignoring them.
I'm referring not only to the general public but to award shows as well, shows that are supposed to recognize great shows and...
I agree with Nicholas, trying to keep this show going merely to keep it going and changing it drastically just smacks of desperation to me and it's also my firm beliefe that it won't work anyway.
Nope, i've resigned myself to the very real possibility that VM is finished, to me they already...
I don't see how that's very good news, we're officialy losing Gilmore Girls (another show that I love so i'm bummed already about that) and MAYBE Veronica Mars will be salvaged. I though you were going to say that VM WILL BE returning.
I loved the resolution to the mystery, well, to be more accurate I love it whenever Veronica gets that "Eureka!" look on her face and exposes the slime.
Too bad that Tim was a murderer, he and Veronica worked well together, sort of reminded me of Holmes and Watson.
Boom, right there you nailed the essence of what i'm eluding to.
To me I simply cannot get excited about all of these great storylines and possibilities when they could all be for nothing, if I knew that it would be back next year than that would be different but how can I care when we may be...
But see, that's just it, the mere fact that this show is doing poorly enough to warrant tinkering and altering is what aggravates me.
The first two seasons felt like they were building towards something big and were very exciting, like the feeling you get when your going up the first hill of a...
Actually i'm going with the last part of that saying, I wish I never loved this show because I wouldn't know what I lost and I wouldn't be sitting here pissed off now.
So no big finale this year? That blows so freakin' bad! They're watering the show down to where it's exactly what the majority of people think it is...a mediocre teen drama. By removing the final big mystery they have robbed the show of it's appeal for me, stand alone eps are fine, but are they...
I swear there's nothing I hate worse than a rapist and tonight I just wanted to walk up to my screen, pull him out of it and beat the living shit out of him right here in my living room complete with Indiana Jones-ish exagerrated knuckle-slap sound effects then topped off by the sweet sound of...
Poor Logan, without Veronica the kid has nobody. :frowning: Veronica could have been nicer to him, afterall what was his crime? Yes, what he did was a bit much but he only did it because he was worried about her after her attack and as he should be, she always seems to find herself in dangerous...
That rapist just picked the wrong girl, she will nail his ass now whoever it may be!
I hate this waiting for news of a full season pick up, I also hate not knowing if she'll be returning next year! It feels like my best friend is in the chair about to get fried and i'm waiting for the...
This isn't just tv...it's Neptune. ;) That sort of thing is not only possible but likely in that town lol.
Great ep last night, twisty, witty and intriguing, plus we've got Wheevil thrown in jail, Logan giving a smart ass quip to him as he's being arrested and Veronica getting one over on a...
I understand all of that, but I most likely would have recorded the show and watched the previous episode before the new episode, so I would have stayed caught up that way, plus I would have been discussing the eps both with my best friend and in the on-going thread.
Point is, either in one...
I watched it in less than a week on dvd. And yep, I have heard that it was more difficult following what was happening as it aired, but since the content of the show never changed I wouldn't have had a problem following it watching it week to week.
Now that you guys are talking about it, I so prefer last seasons multiple mysteries and storylines, it made that season oodles of fun to watch and figure out.
This season, as good as it is so far, is much more relaxed and it does irk me to a degree that we have this one-mystery-at-a-time...
