He must scare the living shit out of his kids then. Would never have guessed that this movie was adapted from a childrens storybook.

So there's a childrens book? Why is there a childrens book of a film that looks way too frightening for kids? Sounds to me like Knight can't make up his mind about who is target audience is here.

I should also mention that I don't mind when a film turns out different than it's trailers and tv spots, contrary to what I may have led you to believe with my rantings. But when the "twist" turns out to be as lame as it was in 'TV', it completely lets the air out of my sail and makes me feel...

    M. Nights next film "Lady in the Water'

Your damn skippy I was. The ads for 'TV' were enough to make me pause when trying to accurately evaluate his films from that point on, I just plain don't trust him when it comes to advertising his films. The Lady in the Water sure APPEARS to be a scary movie, but with M. Night, that could...

Mikah, it's not that I didn't enjoy a majority of his films, loved The Sixth Sense, liked Unbreakable, loved Signs but utterly despised The Village. My apprehension comes from reading so mch about MNS and how often he gets compared to Hitchcock, I got the sense with The Village that he was...

I saw the full trailer tonight before Superman Returns and I must say it looks...different. I'll see it, but I swear, if that monster in the trailer turns out to be some dude merely dressed as a monster, i'm going to throw fruit at the freakin' screen.

I'm not convinced that it is. Like I indicated, Night is a master manipulator, his trailers make you think the movie is about one thing and it turns out to be completely different. The marketing behind his films are very dubious, don't trust them.

The trailer, to me anyway, looks like more M. Night head games. I'm not falling for it this time, I refuse to be taken in by either the teaser or the trailer as they are probably both misleading. I'm going to wait and see what the film is for myself. I no longer trust Night to be honest in...

 That's a funny image, the manager of the theater suddenly comes running into the auditorium yelling "Whoa, whoa, whoa, cut the projection! You guy's have GOT to see this shit!" :D

What the hell is a sea nymph!? I couldn't stand The Village, just a big, bloated ball of hot air that went nowhere. As Doug said above, hopefully Knight get's over this major metaphysical complex he's developed and makes a good film. And for the record, I saw the ending of The...
