i don't know how you are going to get a decent quality flat panel for that little money. The less expensive ones have either such low res or such slow response times its painful. I would encourage you to add some dough and go for 1080P and something that will be speedy for full motion HD video...

I like the idea of it - a Halloween movie night. Personal preference is to stay away from slasher type movies. I like traditional-based but modern monster movies more. Werewolf, vampire, etc... Modern ones like Van Helsing, Interview with, The Howling, etc... as the special effects aren't quite...

I agree with Hank. When I read that post the first thing that came to mind was having to get up turn on some lights to see with, change discs, sit thru yet another load cycle and then start the movie. Too much hassel. I'm sure there are exceptions (Nil's garage theater or a Backyard block...
