    Thanks David, Thanks Doug Im still a little miffed about the seemingly lack of detail in the new edition as reported by more than one HTF member :frowning: Ill pick it up anyway due to the extras, etc. But the older edition will be right next to it on the shelf.

    screen caps So are the caps incorrect and the new transfer not cropped? ive looked at more than one comparrison and not just here on HTF.

    Aside form the color and detail issues which i think goto the older disc, doesnt anyone else hate the fact that they seem to have cropped and stretched the new edition?

    Thanks for the comparison Joe, Its my opinion that the older print is leaps and bounds better than the new one. I seriously doubt the director would have preferred the newer transfer if given the choice and technology to do so. But i guess we'll never know. As they say, whatever...

    I have to disagree. If the original work of art could have looked better, but couldnt due to technological limits, then i think its perfectly ok for the director to use new technology to get the picture how he envisioned it. George Lucas is a perfect example.
