I love the show. It's a guilty pleasure. But I don't let concepts like logic and plausibility spoil my enjoyment. The show works on its own dream logic.

I was expecting more of an action movie/Die Hard kind of conclusion. Instead, Lizzie gets captured and everything kind of fizzles out from there. The major action sequence was a red herring and involved anonymous stuntmen and no one from the cast. It could have been stock footage.

I agree that's too obvious, and everyone would groan if it were that simple. OTOH, it's not impossible they will go there. Maybe Red is a time traveler and Liz is his mother.

Boone just feels lightweight here, and it makes the show unbalanced with Spader on the other side. It's not her looks, it's just the lack of presence and charisma.

Spader is indeed excellent on this show, but it withers a little whenever he's off the screen. I just don't get enough from Megan Boone to carry the other scenes. Great reveal at the end with the husband. Explains why Spader initiated the visit with the Serbian.
