    The Blacklist Season 1

I love the show. It's a guilty pleasure. But I don't let concepts like logic and plausibility spoil my enjoyment. The show works on its own dream logic.

    The Blacklist Season 1

I kind of think that when you're discussing The Blacklist, words like, "logical" have no real place.

    The Blacklist Season 1

Of course, Tom tells Lizzie her father is alive but doesn't divulge his identity. Which seems like the more important fact. Such is The Blacklist.

    The Blacklist Season 1

It was that plus when they were interrogating the other passengers, I had no confusion over who they were talking about when they said, "he cut his hand off". This was before they showed Stromare with a bloody stump. So the entire time the agents were talking to Stromare in the hospital bed, I...

    The Blacklist Season 1

Oh my god, I could spend hours typing out all of the things that are wrong with the show starting with the DOA lead actress. But all of that is trumped by James Spader. So much fun to watch. BTW, I noticed the central Spader tic is that thing where it looks like he ate some popcorn and is...

    The Blacklist Season 1

I was expecting more of an action movie/Die Hard kind of conclusion. Instead, Lizzie gets captured and everything kind of fizzles out from there. The major action sequence was a red herring and involved anonymous stuntmen and no one from the cast. It could have been stock footage.

    The Blacklist Season 1

It turns out NBC didn't want to shoot itself in the foot when they replaced The Blacklist with a Voice recap show: http://www.deadline.com/2013/11/ratings-rat-race-almost-human-down-in-move-to-monday/ "The hot new drama had planned a big two-parter to wrap its uninterrupted fall run (and the...

That was so derivative... ly GREAT. I think almost of the technobabble was completely inaccurate, but whatevs, I loved it.

    The Blacklist Season 1

The moment where the girl (holy shit, I have no idea what her name is) turns in her husband on the phone and describes him as as "incoming client", then pauses for a long time, turns her head towards him and says, "...my husband", was perhaps the cheesiest moment in the entire season. I never...

    The Blacklist Season 1

Skinny Peeeeeeete!!! So the woman knew he wasn't the Courier because the Courier would have killed her already. YES. Why did the FBI think this was a good plan? Why didn't Red object? Also, why hire someone to carry out a task that, if it fails due to the other party, which is outside of your...

    The Blacklist Season 1

No, the show has a very sketchy set up. It makes sense within its own internal logic, but the legal and procedural parts don't add up. It's okay, like forensics people who are gun toting cops in CSI or museum employees who are the de facto forensics department for the FBI in Bones. Once you get...

    The Blacklist Season 1

I agree that's too obvious, and everyone would groan if it were that simple. OTOH, it's not impossible they will go there. Maybe Red is a time traveler and Liz is his mother.

    The Blacklist Season 1

Boone just feels lightweight here, and it makes the show unbalanced with Spader on the other side. It's not her looks, it's just the lack of presence and charisma.

    The Blacklist Season 1

Spader is indeed excellent on this show, but it withers a little whenever he's off the screen. I just don't get enough from Megan Boone to carry the other scenes. Great reveal at the end with the husband. Explains why Spader initiated the visit with the Serbian.
