Wow. At least they rectified that for the other prequels, or at least I seem to remember a lot of talk about getting the opening dates unified for the other films. I didn't know about the Phantom situation when I was reading about all of that or I would have read it with more interest.

I saw something shocking today at the IMDb and I wondered if someone could verify. It said that Phantom opened in July 1999 in the UK. True? I can't believe you had to wait two extra months. Barbaric.

I found both NTSC DVD-5 and DVD-9 versions. Is the DVD-5 diminished in quality to fit onto a single layer? I'd rather download the DVD-9, but I'm guessing my DVD recorder can't do dual layers.
