    What Warner has on their instant archive stream is basically a "best of" for 77 and Eye. I do find it strange that no season 1 episodes of 77 are on the instant archive -- only from seasons 2-6. There are season 1 Eye episodes on the instant.

    That matches up with cbs' comment that "Ben Casey" would require new expensive transfers even if they clear up rights issues despite previous transfers existing.

    As for "Duel" though, after postponing the DVD release several times I was hoping Universal would put both versions on the DVD -- even Spielberg referenced both versions in his interview segment.

    Of course the studios could just opt not to release anything in the first place. Then there would be no honest mistakes. I've always wanted to see the original tv version of "Duel" before it was expanded for foreign theatrical release but AFAIK only the lengthened version has ever been released...

    If I were a betting man (which I'm not), I'd put my money on Bonanza, Gunsmoke, and Happy Days but not the petticoats or the hillbillies.
