They're getting the transfer from Dark Sky so they can't really say there is anything wrong with it, especially since it would add fuel to the replacement program requests. This way, Dark Sky have the new "Tobe Hooper approved" version and Second Sight have the original version. Everyone wins...

Primarily the fix to the fade in the opening, though also the inclusion of the actual original mono, missing on the U.S. disc. I see no reason why they would make a public claim like that if they were lying. The change to the opening will be completely obvious once people have the disc.

Thanks! The only other thing I've heard is that when Pam enters the bone room (or just before), there are some sound effects missing. I can't elaborate beyond that though.

Travis, apparently it is after she has jumped into the back of the truck and is wailing at the driver to go. It happens after this point, before she starts cackling like a maniac. Be great if you could check and compare that moment.
