"HDD" may be wrong about the 'true look'. The director, cinematographer, & restorer may be right about the 'true look'. Just too exposes my faulty three decades plus memory; I didn't think the early US scenes were "yellowish tint--period look", I remember the Italian scenes were sun-washed...
