Buena Vista Goes All BD-50 for January Blu-ray Slate

That's a sane way to look at it! ;-) Thanks. However... I'm "insane" about it! %^@ It goes back to the format war for me. BD is "better" cause its BIGGER! Butt it ends up BD could be a gazillion times BIGGER than HD DVD. No matter, the studio will only get us enough content to re-buy...

Buena Vista Goes All BD-50 for January Blu-ray Slate

What a minute! The BIG BIG DEAL about BD was "more space! more space!". Now BD "superior" space doesn't mean anything? Doesn't matter? Isn't used? What's up w/that? (Really can't believe you said that DaViD, as it is disparaging to all of your previous statements on BD storage advantage.)...

Buena Vista Goes All BD-50 for January Blu-ray Slate

BD promised more space (40%) than HD DVD. If both waring formats are releasing multidisc sets w/the same number of discs... there is no space benefit to BD. "Regardless the BD set has uncompressed PCM 5.1 audio, while the HD-DVD...doesn't." Now that "is" something to crow about! Thanks.

Buena Vista Goes All BD-50 for January Blu-ray Slate

BD 50 falls on its face! KoH not even all the extras on the lowly SD DVD release. Sopranos on HD DVD = 4 F@CKING discs!!! Sopranos on "The Super Fantastic Never Have To Flip a Disc Again" BD 50 GB... "4 F@CKING discs!!!" What's so GREAT about BD 50 again???

It was also the case of pirates bootlegging the isolated scores from SD DVD to CD, that the practice (one of my fave DVD features. That's why I still have the original "Aliens", for the additional soundtrack) was stopped.

Buena Vista Goes All BD-50 for January Blu-ray Slate

I feel your pain! So don't take any of my comments/questions as attacks. Does the other forum have "proof" there is "no" more room on "KK"? Or, is it conjecture? Just videophiles adding up guestaments in their heads? I believe "KK" was not released on two discs at this time, is because it...

Buena Vista Goes All BD-50 for January Blu-ray Slate

"Originally due to street this week, Fox Home Entertainment has delayed the Blu-ray release of 'From Hell' with no new date announced." http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh..._Purgatory/381 One more BD 50 delay and I'm right! EDit: OK! I see there are a lucky number thirteen BD 50 titles...

Buena Vista Goes All BD-50 for January Blu-ray Slate

I am well aware of proposed 50GB release titles. And... sit by my quote; "I don't believe BD will reach 10, this year". Do you believe HD DVD will reach their "proposed" 200 titles in 2006? ;-)

Buena Vista Goes All BD-50 for January Blu-ray Slate

I thought BD needed to release 10 titles on 50GB this year, to prove its viability. I don't believe BD will reach 10, this year. However, if entire studios are releasing in 50GB in '07, that's good enough for me, that even w/o double digit 50GB releases in '06, 50GB is indeed viable. Still...
