It's reached Australia!!
My copy arrived today.
No prizes for guessing which movie will be screening here tonight.
Much gratitude to Thunderbean and all involved for making this momentous undertaking become a magnificent reality.
Doug.
It's been a long time between drinks, though first time round for me in 1949 it was probably just a bubbly soft drink, this time round it's a bit stronger.
Although I have viewed it many times on Laserdisc and TV over the years I'm sure that this Blu-ray will be the best it has looked since...
Excitement is growing.
I'm now checking my mail box everyday.
When it arrives I'll be able to pack my 'Laservision Associates.inc' Laserdisc version away for good.
I always regarded that version as the best available until now.
At this time it's still listed on Amazon, but is currently stated as unavailable.
It goes on and gives a good explanation as to why and then further states that they don't know if this will be coming back on sale or not.
I like the fact that it is trying to disassociate itself from the rotten...
I got mine today.
Special thank you to Steve & Thunderbean for going to the trouble and expense of sending them all the way to OZ.
They were nicely packed and accompanied by a very courteous letter.
Doug.
The charge has already appeared on my credit card statement, just a few hours after placing the order.
I don't mind if it means getting the disc off and running, plus I imagine that Amazon would provide a refund if the project goes belly up.
Happily pre-ordered.
The old Laservision Associates inc Laserdisc was not a bad release, but this one promises so much more.
So thanks Thunderbean for making it happen.
Like others, I'd also love to see Hoppity released on Blu-Ray.
