Mine looks like the paint is cracking a bit where Gandalf's cloak meet's Shadowfax's rump, but it's not that big of a deal. I'm very happy with the statue. My Gandalf also seems to have a bit of mud on his face, which I think is kinda cool.

My local comic shop had a Chewie. I was admiring it, but I can't get away with collecting more than Sideshow LOTR staues at this time. My wife was standing right there, glaring at me as I admired the statue :)

The Helms sold out sometime last night. It also looks like Shelob was pulled from the Minas Morgul consolation offer. It stinks that Sideshow didn't make enough Minas Morguls, but last year they made 7500 Gollums, and they were around well into January. Getting Helms Deep or Golden Hall for $75...

I'm not a big fan of the environments, so I'm not upset about missing Orthanc or the Stone Trolls. However, I did have the Twilight Witch-king in my shopping cart a few times but never ordered him. Oh well.

Wow, I hadn't heard about that stuff Craig. I'm not a big fan of the helms, but I'll definately be picking up all four of those helms on 12/14. I'm expecting Grima and Shelob this month.

I've ordered the Golden Hall for my wife; apparently it's due to ship in June. Other than that, the environments really don't do it for me. The Master Replicas stuff is nice, but I think it seems a little gimicky. I like the Gandalf's Staff, but I think I'd prefer to own the United Cuttlery...

I don't think Sideshow has said how many of the Argonoth statues they made. Same deal for any of the other unlimited statues (Gandalf the Grey, Smeagol, Legolas). I've no doubt they'll make something to go with the Return of the King set, but nobody knows what.

Rob: When did you order yours? Mine should be shipping in May. I went to a new comic store over the weekend. They had a bunch of busts, Arwen for $140 (yikes!) and Gimli and the Watcher in the Water. Of course, the last two were marked Not For Sale. What's the point of displaying them! Argh...

I really enjoy the sideshow statues, but I'm not looking at them as an easy way to make money. Having said that, whenever I find a store that has sold-out statues, I buy all of their remaining stock. I recently found a cache of Frodos, and sold two on ebay for over $300 each. But I'm not going...

I haven't gotten any broken statues, but that's why I only order directly from sideshow. They'll replace it if you get a broken statue, so you don't have anything to worry about if it arrives damaged. It's worth the $25 or so that I might save by buying elsewhere.

Yeah, seeing the 2' note sent me to order the statue as well. I suppose the only good thing about that is that there aren't any more statues in the current lineup that I want to buy.
