Well, LOTR made already more money than Potter in Germany (longer running time) but Potter still has more visitors, but nobody here seems to be interested in the visitor count. :)
I am so glad we mainly count visitors and not Euros in Germany. ;)

I saw it for the 5th time this weekend (never saw a movie more than twice). Cinema was not packed but 2/3 full (english version, so this is pretty good). In Germany Oceans's Eleven just started and both movies had a close weekend with OE slightly ahead.
Well LOTR climbed on place 4 on the German Bestseller list for a short period of time (I think it is 7 now) so that means that there seem to be a lot of people who want to catch up. Bookstores have (as mentioned before) huge displays of Tolkien books - sometimes even bigger than the Harry Potter...
