    I have a feeling that 3D is incorporated pretty much as a standard feature these days, and is not boasted about by t.v. manufacturers anymore. It's there if you want it, or you can ignore it. The cost increase for 3D is minimal now.

    But you're not getting Blu-ray quality, maybe not even 1080p. The HD masters studios are making for broadcast streaming tend to be washed of all grain, while also having other anomalies such as blocking and edge distortion. Any diminishing of PQ is going to be that much more noticeable with 3D.
