He past Away on the 14th, but the news is only now being released.
Kinda sad to think TWO of ABC-TV's daytime icons have passed away within days of each other - Jonathan Frid and Dick Clark.

A missed opportunity, if it still exists (and could be cleared for release) would be the kinescope for the 1957 GOODYEAR PLAYHOUSE episode "The House" by Art Wallace - which he redeveloped for DARK SHADOWS.
What would you folks say is the best single episode of the series - the one episode that best represents the show and concept?
I'd even go as expanding this to say the best single episode of each storyline?
Hopefully they'll do some clean up and processing on the kinescope episodes - fresh transfers and run through the "Live Feed" process to make them look closer to the original vt quality.
But do you realize how OLD the cast will be in 5 years? Except for "the kids", right now everyone else is in their mid 60's to mid 70's, except for Frid,who is in his 80's! :)
Were the basis for these the edited syndication prints of the episodes? I had read there were trims made when original syndicated to cut out some of the reference's to the previous story arc.
I find it unlikely that one "fan" (Even one as "passionate" as you, Mark!) could disrupt a deal between a major independent video label and a major studio.
