Well, the Hulk reboot didn't exactly set the world on fire either. In fact, it actually sold less tickets than the first so I don't think a reboot is exactly the way to go if WB wants to make more.
Just watched Superman Returns again and I think its a pretty good flick.. it definitely gets a large amount of unfair criticism. Is there any word if this sequel is really moving forward? With Dark Knight breaking records left and right, you would think WB and DC would be all over this to see if...
Looks like Louis Leterrier might've been offered a chance to directed the next Superman. This is all pretty confusing. First with Bryan Singer locked to direct, then Mark Millar talking about him maybe taking over and now this Leterrier quote. It looks to me WB doesn't know what the hell it...
I think the article has it wrong in regards to it being the Bryan Singer Superman. I think it was McG or Brett Ratner when they were attached to the project who approached Will Smith.
This is weird. Mark Millar talking about his version of Superman. With the huge opening of Wanted, could Warner Bros. change their minds on Singer? Or are they way too far in pre-production? "Since I was a kid I've always wanted to reinvent Superman for the 21st century," Millar said. "I've...
Looks like Bryan Singer AND Brandon Routh are NOT returning for the sequel. A shame if you ask me.. what they need to drop is this Justice League movie. Routh Out of Superman Sequel, Too? - ComingSoon.net
That's the thing. Bloom is interchangeable in any film role. He's the same in Lord of the Rings as he is in Pirates of the Caribbean as he is in Kingdom of Heaven. Same pitch... same delivery... same tone... every line...every movie. That said... playing a villain in the new Superman movie...
I did too. But I think the biggest problem with that film was Orlando Bloom in the lead. His performance was just so... stilted. A stronger actor would've made that film a complete masterpiece. I agree with Norm. Not that I care one way or the other if he's cast in "Superman" but he hasn't...
It's like "Alien Vs. Predator". It came to that because both franchises died out. Now what was once a great franchise is seen somewhat as a joke. Batman and Superman deserve 2 hours for their OWN stories. If Batman and Superman are in a "Justice League" movie AND their own separate movies at...
I really hope Batman NOR Superman are involved in a Justice League movie. It completely cheapens both of their characters. And both series running co-currently using both characters would only diminish the appeal of their stand alone franchises.
Even though he isn't wearing the costume on the show doesn't negate the fact that it takes some of the magic out of seeing Superman return to the big screen.
Personally, I think that if "Smallville" never premiered, "Superman Returns" would've made a lot more at the Box Office. It's the theory of over-saturation. Why pay to see something on the big screen when you can get it on the small screen. Because he's wearing a suit? Not a big enough...
Seems WB is still intent on the Superman/Batman teamup movie which, according to this article, actually helped greenlight the "Superman Returns" sequel... read on. http://www.moviehole.net/clint/20061...nt_291006.html
