    A Few Words About A few words about...™ Salem's Lot -- in Blu-ray

I had thought something similar - video fade to eliminate the to be continued text and keep the laugh more prominent on a black screen. None really except the original author that I'm aware. Lots of King novels do have overlaps and connections, but I'm not aware of anything intentional...

    A Few Words About A few words about...™ Salem's Lot -- in Blu-ray

I could have lived with that without a problem as well or as an option using seamless branch to watch it as a 2 pt TV or a single movie. I added a link in my previous post to kind of a neat way it could have transitioned and kept almost the entire scene

    A Few Words About A few words about...™ Salem's Lot -- in Blu-ray

I'm not sure -- if you faded in with the taxi in front of the hotel and played right to the sigh after the Paramount it plays pretty smoothly, The section they kept seem more difficult they excised two 5 second patches in a 30 second run which I can't tell without running them side by side...

    A Few Words About A few words about...™ Salem's Lot -- in Blu-ray

Here's a youtube excerpt including the end of the broadcast Pt 1 and beginning of part 2 (?? from LD). It appears the credits influenced the missing 2:30 minutes, but it's not the entire reason behind some of the missing seconds. I guess they could have saved a decent amount of the segment...

    A Few Words About A few words about...™ Salem's Lot -- in Blu-ray

I'd love if someone who has this on LD or tape could look for that, but my memory can't remember a TV show I saw las week much less 30 years ago. I can't figure out any other logical reason why to cut those parts, but logic never seems to work very well these days.

My initial thought/memory is it's a scene that runs as the credits are coming up on the screen. I don't know how this is constructed on film, but if there is no way to reconstruct that scene without the overlay of credits and maybe they just cut to the first frame after the opening credits finish?

Bizarre for sure Amoeba, com has it listed as shipping -- $15 FS B&N several stores in the LA area have in in stock (not sure your location is current) though not online for shipping. It's 14.99 in store, but there are some 15% off code that can be used. Best Buy is supposed to have a new...

    A Few Words About A few words about...™ Salem's Lot -- in Blu-ray

I guess better than moaning about not being able to get the movie after 2 weeks of it being non-existent at most places. I still don't really understand Amazon listing it as releasing 4 weeks after official street date (same with IT and Cat's Eye)
