Right. Which is what the OP's original question was all about. He wasn't worried about buying an honest release and getting a bootleg, he wanted to know if a show actually had a legitimate release in the first place.

Amazon is notorious for having bootlegs on their site. But they do a pretty good job of removing them (or at least leaving them up, but saying discontinued) when they are informed about it. Your best best is to look first who is putting it out. If its a major studio, you know you are safe. If...
