I don't get all the hubbub. It's a good show. It's had one season. It entertained every week and ended strongly. And yes, it's about the music. The better the music, the better its integration, the better the episode. There is no Glee without the music; that's the whole point. Let's hope it's...
Ok, I watched the final three Glee episodes this weekend and caught up on the past five pages of this thread the past few evenings. Great show, and I was dismayed to see all my insightful thoughts already given here in the thread by others. Quick thoughts on the music: Really liked GaGa's...
Two episodes ago, "Run Joey Run" was amazing. Such superb, over the top camp. I loved it! And I enjoyed the episode in general. As Adam said, Sue's time with her sister are some great scenes, and provide an always-surprising balance to her character. This latest episode was just about...

That part rang false to me: I didn't believe Sue wouldn't be so honest and exposed to any students, especially those students. And then her giving them the spotlight I took as another of her machinations to undercut New Horizons by trying to divide the team. It may or may not be good for...
I thought it was structurally weak -- it felt like a concept show with songs chosen and then the show plastered sloppily into place around it. But the music was strong; especially "Like a Virgin". And the plotting gained coherency in the latter portion and mostly came together.
I was...

Agreed. I thought this was a very strong to the season return. It felt like they created two mini-seasons and this was the premiere of S1.5. One of the best song ensembles they've had -- some episodes leave me lukewarm on the music, but this one was strong start to stop. Finn's actions...
Wow! An episode that topped the Spring premiere!
I was a-tremble start to stop. Music was some of the yet. Sue Sylvester is frighteningly believeable: I accept that Sue fully believes everything she says. As she's accusing the Principal of having nothing on her, I accept that she is not...

The music does not stand by itself, but in context with the episode. And it was the emotional center of the show. The earlier performance by the girls "school" was flashy (hairography), which set Mr. Schu down the course of cheap, silly theatrics for New Horizons. That culminated in...
I had a friend, some 10 years ago, who was a professional sign interpreter. The signing in the show, compared to my recollections of her, seemed sloppy. Could be my memory. Could also be the difference between normal "speech" and a professional "speaker".
Regardless, I agree that the Imagine...
Enjoyable episode, with some great comedic moments. My favorite was seeing Emma lose her composure and fall under the spell of Will's ballad.
Quinn's father was a tedious regurgitation of the stereotypically hypocritical, conservative, Christian parent. But Glee is filled with outrageously...
Loved the It's My Life / Confession song. Very fun.
Terri is horrible. But she makes for good TV. And she's no more insane / unbelievable than Sue, Cheerios coach.
(But in the back of mind is the worry that it's becoming Boston Public with 8 minutes of song and dance.)
Enjoyed tonight's show; while the Cabaret song didn't do anything for me per se, the intermixed performances were marvelous. They said everything about the characters: the experienced and skilled April and the young, bright-eyed Rachel.
However, I thought the big performance violated the...

This week's episode was the weakest so far, for me. The first half felt uneven, but it came together in the second half for another strong episode.
I missed the strong song & dance numbers; lip syncing to pop songs doesn't do much for me.
And that's how I "C" it.
What a show!
I'd heard a little about Glee and thought it would cut from the cloth of "The Office" -- a comedy style I don't enjoy. But I caught the pilot rerun by accident, couldn't even watch it start to stop, but was mezmerized. This is that show, there's maybe on per year at best, that...
