Well guys...the wife has exercised her "VETO" power on the 2900. She thinks the picture is too "blurry" aka Soft. She like's our Sony 7700 picture better. I find it hard to argue the point with her...the picture isn't as clear as the 7700. Maybe my Hitachi doesn't like the 2900...Oh...

It should be noted that Denon didn't really make the 1600, it is a panasonic player built upgraded with Denon Audio chips (or so I have heard). That is why it did so well in the Secrets test...as all of that "family" of DVD players did...XP30, XP50 and RP-82. I tried the XP50 and 1600 and I...
